WFUNA Secretary-General congratulates season finale of JTBC’s “Sea of Hope (바라던 바다)”
In recognition of “Sea of Hope,” a Korean music reality show, WFUNA’s Secretary-General Bonian Golmohammadi congratulated the cast and crew on their contribution to global citizenship.
“K-pop has been a rising tide in the music industry, and ‘Sea of Hope’ was one of the most successful programs at introducing sustainable lifestyles to the general public, reaching well over 100 million YouTube views during the first two months of airing on television,” he commented. The Secretary-General went on to emphasize the importance of “leveraging the influence of K-pop celebrities, such as Blackpink, to deliver an emotive message for environmental protection based on the fondness we share with mother nature.” He concluded by encouraging the program to “continue its excellent initiative beyond Korea to all K-pop fans around the world, as it would be of great service for the work of WFUNA in promoting and educating global citizenship.”
Bonian Golmohammadi has been WFUNA’s Secretary-General since 2009.
